That Extraordinary Nation Transformers

“Nation Transformers is the most powerful conference I’ve attended in my entire life so far...” – Kate CastaƱares
Last December 21, 2011, eleven thousand generals jam packed Cuneta Astrodome for the most awaited conference of the year, “Nation Transformers” organized by History Makers. People were all excited. Ready to witness what’s inside. But unfortunately, the program started late since the last user of the dome ended up late so they have to set up everything on rush.
Finally, they allowed people to get inside. Getting there, you can really feel the Holy Spirit is in that place. History Makers and His Life City Church (Pampanga) collided and it was really an explosion! The Praise and Worship was wonderful! Indeed, Jesus is the center of all J
It made my heart melt when all of us started to pray in Spirit. Crying out to God with bended knees. It’s really true that when we work, we work. But when we pray, God works.
We've heard miraculous testimonies from different people. I far remember what Yeng Constantino said to God, “Dapat kitang mahalin at gustong-gusto kitang mahalin”. – (What a sweet feeling!). I’m so amazed how God changes one person to another. From One man. One cell. And into the Whole nation.
Because of this conference, I started to go back in my dream, and dream again. I had the vision to make my 12 disciples. To Win Souls and Make Disciples. Malay mo, ikaw nalang ang hinihintay ng naunsumi kong pangarap? J God also gave me undivided heart; changed heart.
The most exciting part of the event was the prophetic word of the year was revealed, PAMBIHIRA (Extraordinary)! I believe great and mighty things are yet to come. This year 2012 will be the year of Expansion, Explosion and Promotion! J
So what are you waiting for?
Let’s Love God. Love People. Live by Our Name. Make History. And Transform this Nation.
See you in Araneta next year.
Have an extraordinary year this 2012! J

Black Nazarene

"So disappointed seeing people ready to die jst to touch that wooden hand of Black Nazarene. It has no life. It’s just a wood. #thatsIdolatry"
This was the tweet I've posted after seeing thousands of injured devotees from the Feast of the Black Nazarene on TV. Yes, I respect their faith since it has been celebrated for almost 200 years.
But it is written in Leviticus 26:1 "do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God"
Exodus 20:3-6--“You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Idolatry, or the worship of idols by God’s people, yes, even His chosen nation is a horrific sight in the LORD’s eyes. Worship of idols, images of men, women, children, animals, these are all detestable to God.
Let us not be disillusioned that we are doing well even if we know that we are disobeying God and His word. It is important that we base all our actions based on Scripture. We need to read God’s word, the Bible, everyday. If we make a mistake, let us not be like these Israelites who were stubborn to do what they thought was right. We will not escape God’s fury much like these people. Who knows, God may just be waiting for you to change.
Disclaimer: I respect your faith especially to those who are devotees. But it is written in the Bible.

Yes, It's more fun in the Philippines, indeed!

So what’s the new Tourism campaign of the Philippines?
-“It’s more Fun in the Philippines”
“What?? It’s more Fun in the Philippines?? Watta funny campaign... I still prefer WOW Philippines”
These are the words came out in my mouth about this new campaign we’ve been all hearing lately.
But when I started visiting the official website of the campaign–www.itsmorefuninthephilippines.com– I began to love the new campaign. It’s far better than last year’s Pilipinas kay Ganda.
What amazed me most is that when the new DOT secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. said that "What differentiates the Philippines from every [other place] in the world, is the Filipino. It's his special gift for transforming what is already a beautiful place into an unforgettable special place. You take two identical islands, put Filipinos in one, it’s going to be more fun there."
Apparently, it's also more fun in Switzerland, if one believes that country's tourism slogan from 1951. But Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez promptly pronounced it a "coincidence." Ang hirap kase sa’ting mga Pilipino, kapwa Pilipino pa natin, binabatikos pa natin. For me coincidence or not, A good imitation will always be the most perfect originality. : P
As a Tourism student, there were several questions playing on my mind. How will this new “Fun” branding and campaign of the Philippines fare in attracting the international travel market? Are we going to attract more foreigners and investors to come visit the Philippines? Can we improve our standing vis-a-vis our Asian neighbors especially the front-runner Thailand? Can the new slogan be as memorable as those of other countries like “Incredible India”, “Sparkling Korea”, and Malaysia Truly Asia?” What will be the impact of this new tourism effort on the life of Juan de la Cruz? Hmmmmm...

"Haller, Baler!" "Wheee. Tawi-tawi!" "Walang aayaw sa Apayao!
Meron ba silang tuyo?
Sinangag?
Pandesal?
Kapeng barako?
Chicken Adobo?
Dinuguan?
Lomi?
E balot?
O di kaya naman pampaseherong Jeep o trycicle?
Wala! Sa Pinas lang..
Ika nga, Only made in the Philippines. :)

We Filipinos are world class! We have Manny Pacquiao, Maria Aragon, Shamcey Supsup, and Venus Raj to name few.
We Filipinos define our country. Our smiles, our hospitality, our faith, our kindness, our creativity and even our craziness! Filipinos have time and again been counted as among the happiest people on the planet. We are resilient! No matter how bad the situation is we can still manage to smile and laugh about it.
Being the only Christian Nation in Asia is a blessing. We have been so blessed in terms of our natural resources, beautiful spots and sceneries.
Why don't we make an action?
Let’s unite and make Philippines "fun" literally.
Nurture it. Stand for it.
Transform this Nation.
Make an Impact.
I believe that the happiness of each and every Filipino can never be taken away from us -- It's irreplaceable..
In the end, it’s a Filipino that will make a difference. A big, big difference...

My Faith Goals for 2012 :)

Resolutions are made every January. It is a commitment that a person makes to one or more lasting personal goals, projects, or the reforming of the habit. This goal must be reached by the nest new year.

Resolutions are made to be broken. Even though the spirit is willing, circumstances made it difficult to resolve them.

So instead of Resolutions, I’d rather call them as “Faith Goals”. Faith is to believe what we do not see. I believe by faith, my goals for 2012 will happen.
My Faith Goals for 2012 are:
