Review: "The Vow"

      I and my bosses have nothing to do so I we decided to watch "The Vow" via free movies online. 

      Paige and Leo (Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum) are a happy newlywed couple whose lives are changed by a car accident that puts Paige in a coma. Waking up with severe memory loss, Paige has no memory of Leo, a confusing relationship with her parents (Sam Neill and Jessica Lange), and an ex-fiancé (Scott Speedman) she may still have feelings for. Despite these complications, Leo endeavors to win her heart again and rebuild their marriage.

   This was a wonderful and inspiring movie of man's perseverance in fighting for what makes life worth living. Slightly predictable, just like most love stories, but overall a great performance by two wonderful actors. This is what it's all about.

Paige: I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Leo: I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.

Leo: I vow to love you and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other.

Leo: Life’s all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever. But what if one day, you could no longer remember any of them?

Leo: But how do you look at the girl you love, and tell yourself it’s time to walk away?

Leo: I need to make my wife fall in love with me again.

Paige: I hope one day I can love the way that you love me.

Leo: You figured it out once — you’ll do it again.

Paige: You accepted me for who I am, not who you wanted me to be.

Rita (Paige’s Mother): I chose to stay with him for all the things he’s done right; not the one thing he’s done wrong. I chose to forgive him.

What if 5 years of your life you disappeared?

Review: Unofficially Yours

          Does love between two people still require commitment and promises to make it grow? 

       I and my best friend decided to celebrate Valentines Day last night (Post-Valentine Date). We decided to watch Unofficially Yours. Unofficially Yours tackles about a man who falls in love with someone who doesn’t want to fall in love, they met at the very aggressive convenience where they had a one night stand. John Lloyd plays the role of Macky Galvez (real life name of my uncle), a depressed young man who’s been pondering on why he had several failed relationships. Angel, on the other hand, plays the role of Ces, a modern-day woman who is afraid of commitments.

I think this is Angel Locsin’s one of the best performance as an actress. I can say that Locsin maintained the refinement and finesse in acting. She was able to deliver the character with poise and distinction. I like a certain scene on the movie where she is just crying and explaining her past boyfriend (played by Patrick Garcia).

John Lloyd Cruz on the other hand, never fails to amaze me. I have seen all his films (I guess) and I always believe that he competes with his last performance. He never fails to elevate and transform into a brilliant actor. Being a Box Office King for a couple of times must be an indication of his success and brilliance. He isn’t drop-dead gorgeous but he is a boy-next-door cutie.

Mackie and Ces on the film know how to just keep their conversations all brief and subjective at the same time. What I really love on the movie? It gave me thoughts last night on what relationships can give us, what it cant and what it limits us. but most importantly, its conquering our fears on falling in love again after those failed relationships and encounters that we had.

My FAVORITE SCENES WERE:

•  John Lloyd cooking with passion after awhile.
• Angel Locsin's crying scene.
• Edgar Allan Guzman, Boom Labrusca and Panying’s reaction and silence on sala while waiting for Mackie and Ces to finish. (Huh??!!) Hahaha :D
• The Manila Bulletin office
•  Glow acting of Angel Locsin
• Singing of Binibini” and “Ikaw ang Aking Mahal” was handled with taste. It was directed harmoniously with the progress of emotions.

Vitamilk, Soy Good! Soy Healthy!

Do you drink soya milk? Soya milk is also called soy milk, soybean milk, or soy juice. I like soya milk but I don't drink it that much. However my brother introduced to me about this soya milk called, VITAMILK. It is a product of Asia Brewery, the same company that offers Absolute distilled drinking water. Vitamilk comes in Original Soya, Choco Shake and Vitamilk Energy. Based on the website, Vitamilk comes in different package like pouch, bottle and even litro packs. The one in bottle is available in the Philippines and I can see it to groceries. The one in the bottle is worth P25.00 pesos each and contains 300 ml.

          This still comes in soy milk, sugar, vitamins and minerals. And, has real cocoa inside and malt extracts. Look at the bottom and you can see that the cocoa powder below. So, shake first before drinking.

Energy 

           For me, the best flavor was the Energy Vitamilk. This flavor keeps me digging for more found this drink that can be a source of energy for everyone and it tastes very good. Vitamilk uses soy milk as the source of protein. For muscle builders it is a very good source of protein, but to many including myself, it’s just a wonderful and delicious drink.

Jayjay Helterbrand - The best player of the game!

     After pondering retirement prior to the start of the season, Helterbrand added another amazing chapter to his career, nailing a buzzer-beater that gave Ginebra a tense 84-82 win over Petron Blaze in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Sunday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum. 
I don't really watch PBA games at all but when i saw  my brothers and cousins watching Ginebra against Petron Blaze,  I also started to watch..
It wowed almost 12,000 audience in Araneta last February 12, 2012. He did a creative shot that can't be explained for few seconds.

This is my Story. My Living Testimony

When I was a baby, I had my broncho-pneumonia. I was brought to the hospital almost every day. My pedia has to change my antibiotics to cure the bacteria to suction the phlegm that infected my lungs.

Because of that, I was overdosed that led me to understand things in a difficult way. It also took me some time before I finally speak. I was so shy. I had a very low self-esteem.

But my mom didn’t give up. My mom prayed for a miracle to happen in my life. She sent me to different Personality Development schools to boost my self-confidence (Bayanihan Dance Company, Trumpets Playshop, Cora Dolorosa, Hip-hop Dance Classes to name a few). Until I got totally healed. Got took all my infirmities. He healed me from my disease.

My story doesn’t just end here. When I entered college, I’ve experienced all the struggles in my walk with God. Because of the self-confidence I gain, I started joining all the activities in school. I experienced joining Beauty pageants, ramp in runways; pose for different shoots as their model and all the like.

I consider myself privileged. Ever since I was a kid, I was taught about Jesus and the Bible every Sunday. We recite verses and listen to our teacher who was always eager to share God’s word with us. I didn’t understand a lot of things back then but I thought I did the right thing. It was this kind of contentment that I didn’t think seek to know Jesus more.

I sing in our church. I sing coz my mom sings. In short, I’m a successor. Kumbaga pag artista magulang mo, artista ka narin. Kumakanta lang ako na parang wala lang. Kumakanta lang ako kase kelangan.

Because of my curiosity, I also tried what college students normally do. Going out, drinking alcohol, dating, and lying to my family about where I’m going. But at the end of the day, I thought I’m happy. But I’m not. I felt ashamed. I felt the emptiness in me.

And then there’s this History Maker who talked to me. Kate, Mag encounter ka. I refused several times but that 3 days I gave in changed my life. Changed my whole being.

The moment I encounter the Lord, I was never the same. He turned my life upside down. I cried out loud, surrendered everything to him.He made me realized na “Hey! This is not what I made you for. Di kita pinagaling and made a miracle for you to become like this. Great and mighty things await you.” My fame, my glory, my name are his. All that I am is his. I was Ransomed, Healed, Restored, and Forgiven.

Now, all my dreams are all chasing me. With God’s grace, I’m about to graduate this April. I also sing in our church with all my heart, soul and mind. Never again I will come back to my sins. I will Love Him. Honor Him. Win Souls and Make Disciples. I will live and die serving the Lord.
